recent work

I’ve been working part-time with Luthor, an AI-powered copilot for marketing compliance based in San Francisco. I’m creating images and graphics for their client’s blog posts, which is fun. I get to use AI, I get to design my own images and graphics, and I get to combine the two. It’s been a lot of fun, as each client has different needs and even though it’s mostly finance-based, the images and graphics vary widely. Taking each client’s branding into account and sticking to that style and colour palette is challenging, but fun.

I’ve also been working with photographer and director Michael Lavine on his film company’s branding and logo. We just finished the logo and it turned out really well. I’ve also been working on key art designs for his latest project, which is live action this time around. It’s called “The Wanderer” and is a short film. The key art/posters I designed were a lot of fun to work on and will most likely get used during trips to the many film festivals he attends to promote his film. I worked on his last two short films, which were animated, called “The Dark Odyssey” and “The Dark Odyssey II”. I worked on these with my former boss from Fox, Tom Morrissey, and we always have fun working together.

fun new things i’ve learned

It’s always fun learning new things, and I’ve been upping my Illustrator game recently. I have always been comfortable working in Adobe Illustrator, but I work in Photoshop a lot more, and the programs have both changed quite a bit, adding many new features, a lot of them powered by AI. It’s made work go a lot faster, and I find that I spend more time efficiently. There are many great tutorials for Photoshop and Illustrator, and I’ve been soaking up all I can, learning a lot of new things in Illustrator. It’s been a blast!
